From Friday the 28th of February onwards, when contacting the practice please do so by submitting an online form via our website front page.
For those unable to access the internet or non-digital patients, please continue contacting the practice in the same way you did prior to the 28th of February 2025 and our trained care navigators will assist you and submit that online request on your behalf after you answer their questions. This route will take longer.
The structured information you provide in the online form questions will be reviewed by our trained navigation team.
Your admin requests will be resolved and you will be updated.
Your medical requests for help will be assessed and prioritised.
You will then be contacted with the planned outcome for your request. This wont automatically always be an appointment. It could be a referral out to community pharmacy. You might be sign-posted to contact a more suitable available community service for support. Our medical team may text or email you best practice self-care advice to try first. You may receive a text self bookable appointment link for your action.
We must stress that same day appointments are normally for acute queries, however we are not an emergency service so for any life-threatening emergencies, patients will still need to call 999 or go to Accident and Emergency or call 111.
– Please watch our video guide showing you how to submit that online request form.
– Raise questions about how to use the new system by emailing TheAshcroft.Practice@NHS.Net
